We had a few decent placed runs yesterday on the AW and I felt that Barenboim in particular was incredibly unfortunate, it didn't get a run until past the 2 furlong pole, when it did it was then slightly hampered and finished better than the pair in front that included Diamond Bay. The only thing to point out though is that this isn't the first "hard luck" run for Barenboim, so we will track it forwards with interest to see if it is a recurring trend.

 

It's a shame that the Premier Flat Meeting at Musselburgh has been abandoned, thankfully it didn't figure in our 3 selected races, all of which ar over the Jumps with a couple at Haydock and one at Fairyhouse. It has though spoilt a new initiative of a Saturday Lucky 15 e/w punt that we will have to focus on some of the bigger betting heats that we don't tip in and we were going to have 3 of the Musselburgh races in that today. We'll roll that over to tomorrow or monday though when there will be plenty of races to choose from.
