A decent number of big priced places and enhanced places returned yesterday to get us back on an even keel after the 3 disappointing days at Punchestown. That's a Meeting / Festival we will swerve in future as it has never really delivered for us. 

 

A good run from Eydon into 4th and an SP of 33/1 in the 2000 Guineas and a small reverse F/Cast too if you played that angle. I think Eydon will make up into a nice 10 furlong horse later in the season and it'll be interesting to see where they go with him. A few other eye catchers and we won't give up on Perfect Power by any means and Lusail is another that can win nice races at 10 furlongs + on the visual evidence yesterday.

 

At Thirsk On A Session was just tagged near the line by one coming over the top (a trait there that's happening more and more and one we will factor in as a high draw on the round Course is becoming increasingly profitable) and a good run too by Copper And Five in an enhanced 4th at an SP of 20/1. Finally at Hexham, Atomic Angel placed 3rd backed in from 8/1 to 11/4 and Getaway Bay another enhanced 4th at an SP of 28/1 who ran a very promising race and only faded at the final flight and he looks one to follow over the summer.

 

Today we'll focus on the 1000 Guineas, we can't find any 100/1 shots this year but there may be some each way value. We'll also have a dabble on an Amateur Handicap at Salisbury where a few look to be off very nice marks and have a race fitness advantage.
