A shame that we had a non runner at Clonmel yesterday that we had high hopes for and whilst New Order was disappointing at Newbury there was a bold and promising run into 3rd place for Phantom Getaway, who I think will be picking up a small race somewhere quite soon.

 

There are 4 NH Fixtures today at Ludlow, Newcastle, Wincanton and Fairyhouse and AW at Chelmsford. Smallish fields and an Inspection means we'll leave ludlow alone today and having spoken to a good friend who lives just down the Roman Road from Wincanton and who is linked to Farming near Ditcheat, he advises that there is still a fair amount of Frost in the ground around there an therefore we'll leave Wincanton alone too as I think it could either be that horrible "pudding" like ground or actually ride a fair bit former than we think, and too many imponderables there. The one horse we'd note there is GUSTOSO in the 3.10, an impressive type who could run up a sequence. 

 

There are a few TRACKERS at Newcastle and Wincanton that follow, but we'll have a bash at a 17 runner Handicap Hurdle at Newcastle and a 16 runner Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse, and once again would quietly suggest reduced staking just until we have more surety of Ground conditions.
