Tuesday 4th January

A decent run to a point yesterday for Byzantium Lad, it was weakening when bullied out of it on the fence into the home turn but showed enough to think it can pick up a nice little race dropped a little in trip maybe. The one we'd take out of the race is FOUND ON for the in-form Keighley yard, possibly also dropped to about 2 miles 6 furlongs.

The 33/1 winner SLIPWAY caused a bit of debate to put it mildly, joy for a number who have a small each way bet on analysis based comments but frustration for others who saw it as similar to Late Date on New Years Day.

I can understand the divergency between those who have banked around 90 each way points and those that haven't and it's a moot topic that Ian will comment on in an article next Sunday!

The Tracker delivered a couple of big priced 4th places and therefore horses well worth tracking onwards with a return to some sort of form for Elkstone and a nice run from Cronk Y Knox both at double figure Odds.

We'll focus entirely on Hereford today, a competitive Card with two analysed races and a few Trackers.
