This is likely to be a bit of a slog for some and as a result I am happy to take on the top three in the market here, they have very obvious chances but conditions could be a real leveller.

 

Pepe Le Moko has shown promise over 2 miles but has no substantive form over further, PIMLICO POINT does have some 3 mile P2P form and over Course and Distance and would be the one I fear the most but it runs off 12 stones on handicap debut and weight in such ground can be a burden. KNOCKANORE also has some 3 mile P2P form and a win at Carlisle in soft Going but is another whose handicap mark isn't by any means a "gimmie". I think the way to play those is a crafty small reverse F/Cast on Pimlico Point and Knockanore.

 

Imperial B G doesn't strike me as being crying out for this trip in heavy Going on the evidence so far, and both Natty Night and Walkinthewoods have so far been best and happiest at 2 miles in better ground. At bigger Odds I think that both Bonza Boy and I'm A Starman can run better races as Bonza Boy could enjoy the drop in trip and whilst i'm A Starman may need the run I have added to TRACKER on basis it ran OK on seasonal debut last year but then won next time out!

 

The pair i think represent the best e/w value are PRESENT VALUE whose last win was at 2 and a half miles in soft off a mark of 111, it's got a Course win also at 2 miles in Heavy Going, and off a mark of 108, now with Jamie Snowden and with Gavin Sheehan in the saddle las absolutely no excuses and gets a stone or more off a couple of those market leaders. ROSSBEIGH STRAND is a 3 mile P2P recruit with wins at that trip in Soft and Heavy, this may still be on the short side but stamina will be an asset down the long straight and up and down the moonscape like hollows, it's got a Course runner up effort at 2 miles in Heavy Going and the benefit of a run this season and I'd expect to see this more as competitive as it's so far been able to be under Rules today.
