Redcar 5.05

MICHAEL - Redcar 5.05 - Handicap - Class 6 - 7 furlongs - 15 run - Good - 3 year olds

I fancy a crack at this race and a few really jumped off the page.

This is a tough 7 furlongs so I'm looking really for a 1 mile pedigree and some indications horses have run through the line hard at 6 and 7 furlongs in the past. The draw here can assist middle to high and that just puts me off a likely one drawn in Stall 1  that I'll come to.

A few who caught the eye but not tipped are South Dakota Sioux who has an AW win at 7 furlongs, top connections but yet to deliver on turf, this was the 5th rated out of 5 that stood out and will be a handy reserve. I also saw enough in the past form and possible scope of Hawkes Bay and Goblet of Fire to add them to the TRACKER and ony a low draw eased me away from Hawkes Bay who ran well over further recently at Bath.

At the top of the market there is Rubellite for Haggas and Mr Jetman for Grant Tuer, obviously the Haggas horse will draw money but the sum parts are yet to add up for me and Mr Jetman has dome nothing wrong but I can't find value in the price in a 15 runner field.

THORNABY BEAUTY would have warranted an investment, I've added to TRACKER but Stall 1 can be a bit of a graveyard here and it'll have to make its own pace and try to find cover as it's a long way here for front runners.

I'm most keen on ANIERS GIRL for Mick and David Easterby, promise as a 2 year old over this trip suggests stamina will be an asset. It had genuine tackle excuses last time, they drop back to the 7 furlongs and a draw in stall 15 would usually be seen as a positive here. EIGHT MILE is drawn in 13 and has a solid and promising profile an AW winner and evidence that it's ready to transition that form over to turf.

IF you wanted a pair at smaller Odds to enhanced places in preference order than a look and small bet on ROCKIN ROSA who is eased slightly in terms of the ability and scope of the opposition and whose Sire was definitely best at 7-8 furlongs and a draw in Stall 14 and TILT AT WINDMILLS who needed a recent seasonal debut and who should appreciate this drying turf, and who has stamina in the Dam side of the pedigree for the in form Burke team, may give you a nice return at currently over-priced odds.

TIPS (1) Aniers Girl / (2) Eight Mile - if you want to play enhanced odds (3) 6 Rockin Rosa @ 33/1 / (4) 2 Tilt At Windmills @ 25/1
