Thirsk 4.17

Michael - Thirsk 4.17 - Handicap - Class 3 - 7 furlongs - 16 run - Good

A very competitive race and numerous ones with solid chances.

At the top of the market both The Cookstown Cafu who is in great form and All The KIngs , whose best form is on the AW will be big dangers but by no means bomb proof at the prices.

Llamarty Dreams is upped in Class after an unlucky run last time for the red hot burke team and not lightly dismissed and nor is Danzan , who I feel needs a few pounds off its back currently. Billy B just missed out on an investment and is clearly next best in Ratings outside of those final selections below. Autumn Festival had an incredible run last season and should be running in to form again IF the handicapper hasn't now got the measure of it and not lightly discounted either and the same applies to Snash who I have added to the Tracker as I feel that is being readied for a return to the optimum 6 furlongs and one to keep a very very close eye on when it does drop back to 6 furlongs. Adeb back on turf is a possible danger too.

At big odds I strongly suggest a small e.w reduced stake on SWISS ACE drawn in Stall 5 it has some nice back form on turf and couldn't be in better hands with Paul Mulrenean up for Ruth Carr and a big tun would be no surprise.

I'm very sweet though here on the chances of ANOTHER BATT who won this in 2021, placed last year, likely primed in Stall 6. SCOTTISH SUMMIT returns to 7 furlongs which I am sure is a positive, drops a little in Class, drawn 8 and off a nice mark and really looks set up for a big effort. CARNIVAL ZAIN  is a Course and Distance winner off a mark of 68 and 86, which shows how progressive ot was last season and after a run and another who drops to 7 furlongs looks very well handicapped if continuing the progression off a mark of 91 with a good 5lbs Claimer booked.

Tips (1) Another Batt / (2) Scottish Summit / (3) Carnival Zain - (if you want the enhanced place smaller bet (4) 12 Swiss Ace @ 22/1
