Chester 3.35

Ian - Chester Cup at 3.35 - A race I love to try to solve and with the heavy rain and Going i think its going to be a real stamina test for a fit horse. It also looks destined for a Trainer more associated with a NH type in my opinion as conditions not really suited to a progressive or unexposed younger flat type. The 2 that stand out as excellent value are WHISKY SOUR from the Mullins yard who will love conditions and the stamina angle is very strong, WHO DARES WINS comes from the Alan King yard and has run twice in this race already running well and is on the same mark as last year but this looks its best chance yet based on underfoot conditions. I would be disappointed if both were not placed at least to enhanced places available.

Ian Williams and Andrew Balding are 2 Trainers I always look at first in this specific race and indeed meeting and both come mob handed and in order of preference Cleonte; Shabeeb; Time to Study; Speedo Boy and Montaly could all outrun Odds but just don't appeal as much as the 2 selections in these conditions.
