An extended trip and with a stiff final climb to the finish a race where I'm keen to try to find some value.

 

Plenty have chances at the top end of the market but not many really inspire confidence, Douglas DC and All In Peder looks solid if uninspiring, Nostra Casa is upped 11lbs after a shock win after a break of over 800 days lst time out, Kalmira should bowl along at the front but really needs to settle a bit better but would be a danger if getting the fractions right. Celtic Revival seems best on the AW AT 12 FURLONGS.

 

You could give Ballyboun Star an each way chance on a few Flat runs and at big Odds Kalu Pride is very lightly raced and has been off a long time but one bit of AW form at 2 miles caught my eye. We have Surviving Murmansk and Benkei in the 2022 Flat Tracker but I think both are best watched at this sort of trip.

 

The ones that most caught me eye are ROCK ON PEDRO who won at Bellewstown off a mark of 59 last July, has had a run and Mark Enright is a bit of a page jumping Booking for me in this moderate race, I also think that the Jockey booking is key for the chances of SWELLTIME as Seamie Heffernan is in the saddle and has a record of 2-1-2 finishes on the horse in recent seasons off marks between 47 and 51 and it runs fit and ready off 51 here. I think both are worth investments at 50% of the normal stake.

 

With enhanced Odds on offer a couple for you shrapnel lovers at bigger prices may be PUNTERS POET who is race fit after a couple of spins and has been runner up at Galway over 2 miles off this mark and possibly MAKE THE SWITCH who has a shout on some very solid AW form at Dundalk off a mark just below 60 and who gets an interesting 10lbs Claimer up off a mark of 62, and would be very well handicapped if converting AW form to Good to Firm turf
