Friday 14th February

Good Morning;

NO TIPS TODAY!

Very contrasting and raw emotions yesterday. An excellent win for Punxsutawney Phil advised at 16/1 and won at 12/1 SP with a fine front running ride. Very sad sight to see the brave Whatupnellie who had finished a close runner up at Clonmel at 9/2 stumble just after the line and suffer a fatal injury. I'm sure she would have gone on to win plenty of races and as a Mare probably supply an ongoing bloodline to connections. The fragility of the horse and fate, clearly on show and thoughts are with all those connected to the brave girl.

We've looked at what are very poor, in terms of numbers, NH Fixtures at Fakenham and Kelso today. The 1.50 at Kelso looks a cracking race with 13 runners, but the fact that the top 3 in the betting are all in with excellent chances, no less than 3 at double figure Odds are the sole TRACKER horses today, we want to TRACK forwards a couple more, suggests sadly that it is a minefield we aren't willing to second guess. Champ Royal a TRACKER horse already and a decent e/w price would be the best e/w value, but you could say the same about 4-5 others.

With 3 poor AW Fixtures and our Northern and AW Expert very much focussed on the big Newcastle NH Card tomorrow and our Irish Tipster similarly focussed on a big weekend over there, nothing doing on the AW at Dundalk or Newcastle, and nothing we fancy at Southwell.

So we'll bank some more winnings and look forward to plenty of options over the weekend
