Friday 22nd November
After a bit of a "phony war" that seems to have lasted 3-4 weeks with very dry conditions we should certainly have no complaints nor excuses after the past couple of days and after the incoming Storm Bert. We eagerly anticipate some very competitive fields and options from after the weekend.
Ascot hasn't really got much to offer today, other than free entry to a load of toffs least in need of any more freebies and Catterick who face an inspection also have just 38 runners in 7 races if on. The fixture at Tipperary also faces an Inspection and despite some good fields there, we'll rely on a couple of decent TRACKERS in the TRACKER List below.
The AW at Newcastle and Dundalk was a handy standby option but Chepstow stages a competitive Card and after plenty of rain yesterday should ride a fair bit softer than the advertised Good to Soft and both Robin and firstly RJ are chomping at the bit to attack 14 runner and 18 runner handicaps and my only concern is that they don't sweat up too much in anticipation...
