Friday 26th July

A nice win from Olivers Travels at Worcester to start proceedings yesterday, advised and widely available early at 8/1, it was well backedin to 4/1 and did look the most progressive horse in the field. A glimmer of form too in that race from Musical Slave which suggested as predicted that he could still do some damage once he finds a new level he can be competitive off and one to keep an eye on. Another to keep an eye on is Strangersontheshore who didn't miss an enhanced place by too far at big odds at Doncaster in a race with an otherwise disappointing outcome and another to keep a close eye on is Dundory, who finished 4th and just out of the places at 33/1 in the closing race at Newbury.

There are 8 Meetings today. If we discount the 2 Irish Meetings as we want to give Sean and Michael a few days breather, there are basically smallish fields at Ascot, Chepstow and Thirsk, and having spent collectively a few hours looking at the Uttoxeter Card (especially the 2.45 and 5.35 races, we feel both are just too tight and competitive at the top end of the respective markets to tip anything with the necessary confidence.

The Advisor is keen though on a couple in a race at Sandown and our Northern expert believes that race conditions dramatically narrow down the 22 runner field in the 6 furlong Sprint at York to very viable tipping options with sufficient confidence.
