Monday 10th June
A disappointing day for us yesterday. I had planned a bit of an update email this morning covering off recent results and form overall and also discussing some moot points like changeable Going, glut of non-runners (including some confident tips) and general luck / rub of the green. I'm not quite finished as I want to pull in some very interesting Tipster data covering 3-6-12 months, so I will now put that in tomorrow morning's email.
One issue that we will discuss is changeable Going, especially when Racing is going on til 9pm, and today is a good example with the probability of some significant rain at Tracks like Pontefract and Windsor during the day and also at Carlisle, who race this afternoon. When it falls on Good ground, I think it's less of an issue, but when it falls on Good to Firm, there seems to be more of a safety concern, and also a bigger probability of non-runners even if the Going does not appreciably change. So, having had a glut of non running tips lately, we'll stand back from those Fixtures today and let the rain get in to the ground for what looks likely to be a wet week ahead and the prospect of Good to Soft or Soft in most places by the end of the week, which may be no bad thing.
The obvious race, and only really logical race to attack today is The Connacht National at Roscommon.
