Monday 16th December

It's not been very often that we've had to report a pretty abysmal day in Ireland, but no beating around the bush, a poor day at Navan yesterday, a track we generally excel at. I think both Tipsters and Ian feel the drying ground was a mitigation but those are not excuses and we have to work out what went wrong and try not to repeat them

The card at Naas today focuses on shorter distance races in the main and with drying ground that they are watering to maintain (which seems barmy given the rain elsewhere) we've decided to leave it alone and start to focus on the massive week ahead in Ireland from Boxing Day, and I think it shows the excellence of Irish Fixture planning that the next meaningful National Hunt action in Ireland after today; is on Boxing Day!

We'll focus on our plans for the rest of this week and more specifically next week in the email tomorrow morning.

There is AW at Wolverhampton today and two low key NH Cards at Plumpton and Southwell. There isn't a great deal to enthuse over but we have a couple to point out for a small e/w double and singles.
