Monday 16th September
A couple of non runners again caused frustration yesterday but the obvious highlight was an 11/1 SP win for Dynamiste at Bath who stayed on resolutely in the closing stages having been advised at 11/2. It was a shame that we missed most of the race due to a 5 runner crawl in France, but I guess an Arc Trial is more important than a Class 6 handicap at Bath to some!.
There is some decent competitive Racing today at Thirsk and Windsor, a decent NH Card at Worcester, AW at Kempton and the annual trip to the Beach at Laytown, a wonderful quirky typically Irish Event, not to be missed on TV although never a serious betting proposition. It's just a shame that we can't find space in the UK to do something similar, possibly on one of those wonderful huge expanses of sand in South Wales?
