Any thoughts about a very poor weekend in Ireland at Leopardstown will be discussed in the email tomorrow morning, that was always the plan , however it seems insignificant now when we've awoken to hear the details of the tragic death of Keagan Kirkby, a 25 year old working lad from the Paul Nicholls yard who lost his life riding in a POint 2 pOint Meeting in Kent yesterday. We get used to injuries in Sport and thankfully bad injuries are still quite rare, but fatalities really do hit home especially in an amateur scenario and all of our thoughts will be with family and friends and work colleagues and those wonderful paramedics and P2P volunteers who will have witnessed this tragedy.

 

There is National Hunt at Carlilse and Punchestown today and we'll have a bash at a long distance Chase at Carlisle and there is AW at Lingfield and Southwell and we've got selections in a race at Lingfield.

 

These are quite speciulative punts in tight markets and selections are ones with quiet confidence in them, given the quality of racing though we'll put them up as "Pointers" as we draw breath and reflect on a poor tipping weekend but far more pertinently a genuine tragedy to hit the Sport.
