Saturday 23rd November

We're continuing to fire in some nice places and enhanced places with Eceparti, Holly Hartingo and Mortens Leam yesterday, but winners are proving frustratingly elusive.

There is top class action today at Punchestown (awaiting an inspection) , Haydock and Ascot as well as an NH meeting at Huntingdon and some AW. Storm Bert, which has already hit the South West as I write (thankfully a storm from the South so sitting on top of a north facing cliff to it's not as serious for us as it may be for others) is likely to impact with heavy rain at Ascot, heavy rain and high winds at Haydock, and a possible deluge at Punchestown. At least I don't think we're going to be moaning about Good to Firm Going for a fair few weeks.

Sean and Michael have both come back and suggested that if Punchestown is on, conditions may be bordering on farcical and lots of non runners, so we will reluctantly and frustratingly swerve there for today.

In such conditions perceived recent form can go out of the window, high winds can be as much a factor as rain, and we've delved deep in to past form in out main two tip races at Haydock for some verifiable soft / heavy Autumn form and some with progressive and a few with more exposed profiles. We looked at the long distance Chase at Ascot but it looks market dominated in an 11 runner field likely to be resolved between Inis Orr, Fortescue, Slipway and Kittys Light.

Tips and Analysis then from Haydock from Robin and The Advisor and some Irish input from Sean and Michael.
