Saturday 28th September
Following the win from Donkey Years on Wednesday we've had two days completely devastated by non-runners in the few races where field size exceeded 10 runners and again yesterday we found a winner in First Officer, to follow Terries Royale on Thursday, whose initial price was blown away by the number of non runners.
With the notable exception of The Cambridgeshire at Newmarket and a decent Handicap Chase at Listowel, there are very few race options with 10 or more runners and with likely a lot of non runners again, we'll focus on these two races, out of necessity to be frank. I'm adjusting the "staking suggestion" on The Cambridgeshire, as a one-off, on a day with so few punting options. I'll discuss tomorrow the reasons why I think UK Racing has got itself in to this mess and how decisions made about the Cheltenham 2025 Festival do little to exacerbate it!
