Saturday 7th December

A nice 20/1 placed SP run from Night Duty at Exeter yesterday was the highlight in deteriorating conditions.

It seems a bit churlish to talk about Horse Racing as Storm Darragh sweeps across many parts, especially our friends in Wales and the Western side of the Country, but it will clearly affect all parts at some point, so staying safe is the most important thing.

We started by identifying two possible races at Aintree which is OFF, three possible races at Chepstow which is OFF, a race at Wetherby which is ON and two races at Sandown which is currently ON but they re-inspect in a few hours time. Navan seems sure to be on and we looked initially at 3 races there but the Handicap Chase at 2.17 looks very tough to call full of big Yard Chasers and the Beginners Chase at 2.52 is a non-handicap and again one of those races that will throw up plenty of form to follow. The pick of the tipping races anywhere today though is the Handicap Hurdle at 1.42.

With so many plates spinning we are assembling analysis from the Tipsters but with early starts at many Meetings and early finishes at this time of year, I prefer to get the selections out with a brief analysis, so that you can "get on" and we'll pad the analysis out later on and update the Members Paddock by 10am.
