Sunday 3rd November

The veteran Two For Gold ran a cracking race despite just missing a place at AScot in the big Handicap Chase yesterday, prominent throughout, he stayed on when looking tired over the final two fences. Hopefully they can find a race for him before the end of what they have suggested may be his last season. Flegmatik needed softer ground but got in a very good blow. We'll certainly be waiting and watching when he next appears on any ground with "soft" in the Going description.

In the previous race Afadil looked outpaced throughout and was never really in contention but stayed on gamely. He'll now be really cherry fit you'd think and maybe a switch up a couple of furlongs would be a wise move for the Nicholls team. Sadly, no joy at all at Ayr with what were confident pokes.

The NH Card at Carlisle is light on runners, with the exception of a big field Handicap Hurdle to close the Huntingdon Meeting, which looks to be very tight at the the top end of the market, and an unfathomable Flat Card at The Curragh, it's all eyes on Cork with a decent Handicap Hurdle and the 14 runner "Cork National".
