No joy at Limerick in the sole tip race yesterday on a day when the main talking points would have been 100/1 and 150/1 SP winners on the AW at Lingfield. We will be looking at AW more closely very soon but out of interest, I always like to look at that sort of winner and see if analysis may have picked it up. The 150/1 one had literally no form but the 100/1 did if you look specifically at some old Course form. The one aspect of AW we need to fine tune our thoughts to is that often these aren't 14 plus runner races but can be in fields of 7-11 runners in markets with barely any liquidity and it's an aspect we will be looking closely at, especially in spells where NH is at the mercy of the weather.
There are Inspections at Warwick and Hexham today, informed sources advise me that there has been a fair dollop of snow by regional standards in the Midlands (and Midlanders don't call a dusting a dollop, but aren't Northerners where a dollop is a foot plus) so we'll give that Card a swerve and Hexham has pretty moderate Fields even if on. The AW at Dundalk and Kempton doesn't entice today, so we'll seek to find some winners on genuinely "soft ground" at FFos Llas with a couple of Handicap Chases in our sights.
