Thursday 28th September

Good Morning

A frustrating day yesterday as Excellent Times was just beaten in the 2.00 at Redcar and both runners in the 4.10 got the pace
all wrong and faded out of contention at the business end of the race. As a Tipping Service results are paramount so the bottom
line is that it was a poor day. The logic however is important and one of the reasons we are as expressive as we are in explaining
the reasons for selections, is to both educate if we can, but also to look at Course variables and angles. In both races yesterday
we got the draw bias and running styles required "spot on" if not the right horses to win the races. I/we could not have picked the
horse that just beat Excellent Times if we had tried 20 permutations and that can happen, but although disappointed at the results

I was more than pleased with the logic, and as I often say, if you shoot and hit the right area enough times, the overall profit will come.

There is Flat Racing today at Newmarket, what I would call a "purists Card" and not a great punting angle for us, the NH Card at Perth
is subject to an 8am Inspection with small fields and there is racing too on the AW at Chelmsford, by far the most competitive action
is at Pontefract, though the quality is not great. They have split a decent Handicap in to 2 Divisions and the best betting heat is the
5.50 race. The imponderable here is "the draw" as although low is usually a big asset on occasions they come stand side and high
then becomes the place to be. The likes of Muatadel; Adams Ale, Van Gerwen are all drawn double figures and of the lower numbers
we liked the look of Oriental Splendour and Sheepscar Lad. It is however a low grade end of season Handicap of poor quality and

wit the draw issue, has all the hallmarks of being a bit of a "lottery".

As a serious Tipping Service we have learned from our own mistakes and the mistakes of many Punters over the years and if
having looked at a race/races for 3-4 hours you are still "not sure" it is definitely the disciplined  thing to do to abstain and to wait
for better opportunities and I believe there will be plenty of those over the weekend. We have had another solid month, not as
good as some recently, but profitable nonetheless and I'm always reluctant to give away hard earned successes at this stage

of the Racing cycle as we approach "cross-over" so for today, we will let caution be the better part of valour and abstain.

We do have 3-4 very strong and confident selections on the horizon for tomorrow and the issue on Saturday may be "whittling
down the list to 3-4 races" as options are going to be abundant, so not long to wait and we will be back again tomorrow.
