Work Watcher has an interesting view about the 3.05 Park Hill Stakes, he has pointed out

that the two market leaders Abingdon and Simple Verse are far from bomb proof; the

former is not proven at this 14 furlong trip and Sir Michael Stoutes view that he "might"

get it are hardly compelling and Simple Verse has not (so far) been the same horse

this year as last. They should finish 1-2 but WW is keen to take them on and to look

for some value. CALIFORNIA rates a strong each way contender at these odds; did

very little wrong at Goodwood last time and looks progressive. Her stable mate

MILL SPRINGS has something to find on the form of that Goodwood race but has

vital and crucial form over 2 miles and this 14 furlong trip looks ideal and the thought

is that it will try to bring that stamina in to play down these long straights and to both

try to win the race herself and also try to set it up to draw the sting out of Abingdon-

time will tell and we will wait and see with interest!
