Work Watcher is not alone in looking at 7 furlong form at Ayr in 6 furlong races when the Going is soft.

It is a long galloping straight with more than a few undulations and a bit of a climb to the line; you

need speed to be tactically versatile but any lack of fitness or stamina can be exposed in the final

stages of races. If we adopt a middle to low strategy and proven form with cut in the ground then a

short list of 4-5 emerges, Giant Spark is favourite but upped in Class again, Dark Defender is an

improving and tough horse but just 12 days since a hard race and Twin Appeal comes from a yard

with 3 big priced wins in similar races in the past 10 days. However OCEAN SHERIDAN is in form,

has a nice draw and ideal conditions and looks sure to be in contention and at a bigger price;

another one lurking quietly with proven 7 furlong form and a nice mark is KHELMAN in a

race where Richard Fahey will be looking for another big Handicap race win.
