Bayard - Ludlow 1.40 9 Kapricone - each way : 6/1 (WH) 11/2 generally
KAPRICONE has proven form in soft, at the trip; in this Class and right handed;
it has had a run and the yard is in decent enough form and if you get on early and BOG
the price, then you will get 6/1 and William Hill and 11/2 generally, expect the price to
shorten and whatever you take price wise, there may be some Rule 4 for non-runners.
We did look closely too at Acadian in the 2.15 race (at 6/1) but the former of the
Trainer recently, tempered enthusiasm to the point of pulling the tip completely.

We had a decent run from both Dark Lover (4th at 25/1) and Nail M (6th at 11/1) on a rain
affected day yesterday and frankly we face a similar dilemma today with a lot of Good ground
horses, declared in pretty small fields at both Kempton and Ludlow. We also have an AW
Fixture at Chelmsford City. To be honest, I think if Ludlow were racing tomorrow, they would
struggle to race, but the Track is on a sand base, so should just be OK; but I'd expect a glut
of non-runners at both NH Fixtures today.
The funniest thing is the Racing Post predicting "sunny periods" at Ludlow today, no doubt
that "copy" went to the printers a few days ago, but Going/Weather predicting at UK Courses
remains in the dark ages. We have scoured the Cards looking for some "soft ground" form
in any horse that has decent form chances, and have found one at Ludlow, that represents
some decent value; as opposed to being " a tip for the sake of it".

It's frustrating to have such days, but we desperately needed this rain and with
drier and clearer weather due after tomorrow, it potentially sets up some ideal
Jumping ground for the big Fixtures later in the week, over the weekend and beyond.
We will be back with another look tomorrow - and fingers crossed for Lingfield
and Sedgefield (NH) although unlike Chelmsford which we have avoided today
due to a lack of decent data and certainty, we would not be adverse to an AW
punt tomorrow at Southwell, if the NH boys are rained off!
