Bayard - Newbury 1.30 14 Warriors Tale - each way 12/1 (B365/PP) - odds to 4th / Newcastle 1.10 12 Doubledisdoubledat - each way 7/1 (generally)
WARRIORS TALE looks to be on a very nice mark in a hugely competitive
Chase over just shy of 3 miles. The drying ground will help this once decent
hurdler and with stamina assured and from the top NH yard the double figure
price looks very appealing. The horse did not immediately take to Chasing but
the last 2 runs in lower company have proved the benefit of extensive schooling
and he looks one of the few in the race with any scope to improve and the mark
looks very tempting. Gentleman Jon brings probably the best "current 2016" form
but is in uncharted waters off this mark. The rest, well, take your pick, around
10 of them could "pop up" all have the ability but all very frustrating and of
the rest Mystifible would probably be the biggest danger of those on season
debut, but Bayard is very confident in Warriors Tale.
DOUBLEDISDOUBLEDAT is another running off a low weight off a nice mark
and can make that and a fitness advantage pay up at Doncaster for a year who
can have "purple patches" and who just seem to be coming in to form with the
return of some decent National Hunt ground
