Bayard - Worcester 1.50 10 Mondeligo - each way at 14/1 (BOG asap) and Bayard - Fontwell Park 2.35 3 Yes I Did - each way at 6/1
Here is the tips logic-:
The market likes Dealing River in the opener at Worcester and understandably
so after an excellent run of form, but, this is basically a good ground horse and
with Autumn now on us and plenty of rain and dew about, we think very vulnerable.
The big yards send a host of horses with some untapped potential; of whom
any could win, but the likes of Kitchapoly; Moscow Me seem better right handed
and like Foxtail; A Little Magic and Laser Hawk, all of who have jumping issues,
may need their seasonal debuts. Lurking at the bottom of the handicap are a
pair of dark horses including No Ceiling who could run a very big race and
MONDELIGO. Mondeigo has 5 lengths to find on Dealing River from their last
runs, but prefers softer ground and has a pedigree with the form to thrive on
soft and over a bit further, it has beaten Dealing River in the past on similar terms.
Trainer Matt Shepherd trains locally near Eastnor Castle and his son Stan; a very
capable Claimer takes 7lbs off, a big run is anticipated and at 14/1 looks excellent value.
Over at Fontwell, it may seem heresy to take on any Paul Nicholls runner at the moment
but in the 2.45, the proven form of YES I DID looks very interesting. It won well in a race
of this type last year off 125; off 127 today; before being highly tried, the Skeltons' can do little
wrong at the moment and the front running style of the horse looks suited to this track.
It is another race filled with potential, but whilst most of it is untapped, we have seen what
this horse can do in this grade and at 6/1, a bit of each way value.
