Hot 2 Trot - Kempton 5.20 1 Haaf a Sixpence 9/1 / 5 Goring 5/1 - each way
The 7 furlong race at Kempton sees two drawn low stand out on form and with
their running styles, it is again not hard to visualise the race. Haaf a Sixpence
ran well for a long way over a mile after a break last time out. Its best runs have
been from the front and although it often gets caught close home over a mile
this trip is ideal from the stall it is in. I expect it to be prominent and to kick
on in the straight knowing stamina this time is there. Goring is a very solid
form marker and will enjoy the decent pace set by HAS and looks the most
likely to benefit from it from a lowish draw, and the 9/1 and 5/1 give scope to
split the stake, as we did the other night.
