Bangor 3.20

Bangor 3.20 5 Arden Dennis each way @ 8/1 / 11 Young Lou each way @ 14/1

(SkyBet currently enhance to 4th place but check before using as 2 early non runners have reduced field)

(all 2018 bets are as advised to 1 point each way or 2 point win as stipulated)

The 2 miles 7 furlong trip in heavy mud is going to take some getting here and that means that those at the head of the market
do not look great value to me. American Life has been re-energised by Oliver Greenall who trains locally, but 5/2 is no value at all and a horse
I would want to take on despite solid form at the trip and in the Going. Lady Mix has no real form on heavy; got 3 miles on Good at Doncaster;
but this is a totally different type of track and Going. Somerset Jem is a solid if limited plodder who should be competitive off this mark with a
nice Claim, it won a Bumper in heavy; has won over 21 furlongs in soft, but does not seem to be crying out for this trip. Tailor Tom is a classic
McCain danger horse here; they all are, but the sum parts do not add up to the price, one decent P2P run beaten by 2 horses snapped up by
Nicholls (one poor run there) and Snowden (yet to run) but that P2P run was only really decent one. Has had 3 Novice runs without any real

signs of life and you have to say if trained by anyone else here would be 14/1.

That left me with a shortlist of 3 and the one left out but most feared is TUDORS TREASURE - beat Steel Native at Ffos Llas last season
and that has somewhat franked this horses ability since winning again off 90 and 98; Tudors Treasure has run well fresh and if ready to roll
could be a big danger off a nice mark; I was very tempted but the lack of a run and a view it will make a very nice novice Chaser in the Spring
just put me off it but one for the tracker, whatever happens today. ARDEN DENNIS has won off 87 over 21 furlongs; placed at this trip and form
on this type of going, needed seasonal debut as many in the Yard have, and with horses now running better, can come on for the step up in trip;
the ability to handle to Going a plus and won a 3 miles Point 2 Point as far back as 2013 as a very young horse! The other selection is the
bottom weight YOUNG LOU some good form on extreme Going; has performed well at 3 miles plus and has some decent Course form too;
weight is an anchor in the mud and can tap Class, and this dour low weight will enjoy conditions more than most and has more proven form
in Going; at trip and further and at course and off a mark of 90 less a 7lbs Claim, looks to have a sporting chance.
