Thirsk 4.40

Thirsk 4.40 5 My Dad Syd @ 6/1 (Favourite Treat)

the following race is over 7 furlongs and a Class 4 race and again very competitive .
FIELDSMAN at around 4/1 is a worth favourite but not on a particularly appealing mark; certainly not one that jumps
off the page, Mango Chutney is a Course and Distance specialist who has won here off marks of 62-62-68; will be in

with a chance of another Course win but upped in Class and off a mark it has yet to fully conquer, we will take those pair on.

MY DAD SYD is my idea of a strong each way bet, (ignore the last run at Newmarket which does not suit many horses
and which is a pretty soulless place to a horse going there for the first time) and you can see some very strong form.
The Trainer is in good form, a very good jockey takes some handy weight off and drawn in stall 2 has prime slot to

run prominently round the turn and in to the straight, should be bang in contention.

The each way longer priced option here, for those who want it, may be FAVOURITE TREAT, Course winner and also
won over the distance elsewhere. Ruth Carr never stops finding winners and the horse thrives on Good to Firm Going
and plenty of sun about here today. Always likely to "pop up" at any time off a mark around 70 and one very compelling
bit of form with Fieldsman (see above); with whom it is a few pounds better off for being beaten a few lengths recently;

so strictly speaking is weighted to beat that one today - Fieldsman is 4/1 and FAVOURITE TREAT is 20/1!!

That is just too good to completely ignore.

Stake 1 point each way on MY DAD SYD and if you want to added punt 1/2 point each way on Favourite Treat
