Ascot 4.50 - Handicap Class 3 - 7 furlongs - 18 run - Good (heavy early rain forecast but then drier)

 

A rce in which they all have to beat the Gosden horse SUNWAY MAJOR who could even go off Evens or Odds On but who has to proven form in softer ground.

 

It's actually hard to find anything that's proven in soft, at the trip and with some latent stamina.

 

Course specialist Cliffs Of Capri should at least be competitive but the one who looks most likely to give the hot favourite a race is ABLE KANE. It's fine on Good to Soft, clearly still improving and with no real concerns about the step up to 7 furlongs on pedigree and  the way it regularly runs through the line at shorter trips.
