Carlisle 3.10

Carlisle 3.10 8 Achill Road Boy - 1/2 point each way @ 15/2 (BV + Sky) (7/1 generally)

This 2 mile 4 furlong Handicap Chase is stacked with "consistent horses" but they are largely consistent
at placing and finding ways "not to win". Argentix has to prove it can handle this type of track, Dartford Warbler is a solid
"placepot" horse and Spanish Fleet may need the run. The rest could easily "pop up" but the 2 stand out horses on any
form analysis are In Guet Apens and ACHILL ROAD BOY. There is no denying the past form of UGA and it has been
backed in a shade too far for my liking. The Trainer is in form, one to follow but it is both hard to quantify its form when
"fresh" given a career break, and also not conclusive just how much ability remains. the mark could be deemed very good

based on 3 years ago, but since returning, I am just not 100% convinced.

ACHILL ROAD BOY is fit, the yards runners have also improved for each run and I like the jockey and think he is well
worth his claim. The horse is better over slightly further trips and goes in the ground, there is though more than enough
pace in this race with the likes of Argentix, Brother Scott and Dartford Warbler and UGA; so that should ensure the

selection gets something to "aim at" up the hill, and if turns in to a slog, he has more stamina than almost anything else.

At 7/1 he looks like a nice each way play in a competitive race.
