Exeter 2.30

THE ADVISOR - Exeter 2.30 Handicap Chase - 3 miles 54 yards - 10 run - Heavy

There are a few in here that I prefer to watch and look at after today.

Classic Ben did OK here on seasonal debut, but may still need this run. I feel as though the trip is fine but no real form or success so far on heavy Going. I think one to track onwards after this run. I feel the same about Another Emotion on its seasonal debut, it's won on heavy and soft off marks of 111 and 116 respectively, gets in here off a mark of 122 with a 7lbs claimer and will surely come on for the run. Musical Slave for the in-form Hobbs team also makes a belated seasonal debut, its had a wind operation and well in IF fit but at the price I will watch and see today.

Ede'iffs Elton ran a fine race to be runner up when tipped by us at Wincanton last time, on balance it's better there than here and I'm not sure a slog in Exeter mud plays as well to its strengths. Jonjo's Morning Spirit is the favourite and is very much the one they all have to beat, solid form, nice mark, won on heavy and if you want a win saver, your discretion but i think there is value at bigger odds each way elsewhere.

Win My Wings may yet come good for Christian Williams like many other horses have, it was Pulled Up in a Class 1 race last time has won at Cheltenham in Class 3 and won a 3 miles P2P race too. Best form is on better ground though but a small shrapnel bet on this outsider of the field may deliver a small each way return if Williams can continue to work his magic.

Drumlee Watar has won a 3 mile P2P and makes a Chase debut under Rules hare and is therefore an unknown quantity that's worth watching closely, and Run To Milan who has a Course and Distance win in Good Going conditions, has had 3 runs so no fitness worries so is a danger but not proven at all in heavy Going are denagers but didn't quite look worth an investment today.

The one who jumps off the page a little bit at a nice e/w price is POKER PLAY. David Pipe does well in long Distance Chases here, this one is back Chasing after a spell hurdling and proved before it can jump a fence as when winning a nice Novice Chase off a mark of 135 over 2 miles and 5 furlongs. It gets 3 miles fine over Hurdles, and has won in heavy conditions in that sphere. It had its 3rd wind operation in March so that aspect is a niggle but off a mark of 123 here, I think well worth an each way punt at the prices.
