THE ADVISOR - Hereford 3.30 Handicap Hurdle - 3 miles 1 and 1/2 furlongs - Class 4 - Soft

 

At the top of the market we have Pottlerath who is the model of consistency but probably just in the grips of the handicapper now and usually better on Good ground, the muddier the more suspect the form, Loup De Maulde has form figures of 1-2-1 and is unpenalised and the one they all have to beat quite frankly, if you want a small reverse Forecast - feel free - and also at that end of the market is Alkopop who has a solid each way shout but who doesn't always find very much at the business end.

 

Of the remainder , Glance From Clover had a series of solid runs last term but may just need this off a 260 day break but one I'll definitely TRACK from now on in. 

 

My most confident picks are CHLOES COURT who showed promise last time out and who has won at Wincanton off a mark of 102 in Good to Soft and placed at Exeter at just shy of 3 miles in heavy Going off a mark of 104, so no ground excuses and who should be very competitive off a mark of 105. FLYING NUNN is one I'm equally confident about, is best win was off 99 at Taunton, Emma Lavelle seems to have been bringing the horsealong quietly but it looks ready to strike now back up in trip to what should be an ideal distance off a mark of 103 which is a pound below its most recent place mark.

 

There are a couple worthy of a shrapnel investment if you wish RATFACEMCDOUGALL has 3 Course and Disrance wins the highest mark being 117, its won elsewhere off a mark as high as 132 in April 2021, has dropped understandably down the handicap from that career high mark but has shown signs of re-finding a level and 115 may be it. At big Odds and one who IS in the Tracker is WINDS OF FIRE, it won a Novice Chase off a mark of 120 in November 120, its best Hurdle winning mark is 108, it went sour over fences so returned to Hurdling and has placed since off a mark of 117, its down to a mark of 102 here and I wouldn't totally be shocked if it suddenly clicked back in to gear today.
