Lingfield 2.00 Handicap Hurdle Class 5 - 2 miles 7 furlongs - 13 run - Good to Soft

 

The obvious one here is the Jonjo trained Fame And concrete but given the prowess of the Yard to send out short priced duds and big priced surprises I think the best way to play this is in a small e/w treble with his runners in 2 other races below (Walk In My Shoes in the 4.45 here and Morning Spirit (who is tipped in the 3.15 at Carlisle)

 

Hurricane Vichi is upped 4lbs after a decent Course and Distance run last time but doesn't catch my attention as much as GETUPEARLY for the Hobbs Team who is in the Tracker having run well for this 10lbs Claimer on handicap debut last time out. Buckthorn George has been out of form but is well below it's last decent run mark which was over Course and Distance a year ago so may revive and Breizh Alko is another at decent odds who may outrun them reverting to Hurdles and below its last winning hurdle mark for an in form Yard.

 

The one who also caught my eye is another who has been in the Tracker for a while. AIKENBREAKINHEART ran better to finish 2nd in a Chase last time and if we again go back to some collateral Irish form, it's a whopping 40lbs below the mark of a decent Irish yardstick it finished 4 lengths behind over there. I'm convinced there is dormant talent in this one just waiting to be unlocked.

Lingfield 4.45 - Handicap Chase - Class 5 - 2 miles 7 and 1/2 furlongs - Class 5 - 13 run - Good

 

The eye popper in this race at a big price is ANOTHER EMOTION who is in the Tracker and 14lbs now belo it's last win mark and dropped again in grade. It's the sort who can pop up when it finds a level and gets into a nice rhythm and starts to enjoy racing again and at the odds well worth a punt.

 

Felton Belle Vue has had a wind op but has won at 3 miles and drops in trip but the mark looks a little high at the moment. Counteract showed a bit better form last time and would have a squeak if repeating that today, Supasunrise is progressing well but upped in trip and not totally convinced in the value at the price and as mentioned above another Jonjo short priced one in Walk In My Shoes who makes Chase debut with some very mixed Hurdles form.

 

TWILIGHT GLORY caught a bit of a tartar in form at Ffos Llas last time but came home clear of the rest and a repeat of that would take it very close here.
