Imphal is hot favourite here for local Gary Moore yard, it's won its last 3 races off marks of 99 / 100 and 103, now gets a 7lb hike but clearly the one to beat. Manintheshadows from Jonjo's yard has placed form off marks of 89 and 95 and a win off 90 and looks to have solid form chances here as second favourite and the third market favourite also under 4/1 in the early betting is Thirtyfourstitches for the always dangerous Newland yard. That one has wins off marks of 87, 94 and 97, up over 100 here though and not quite the proven stamina of the other 2. It may be e/w value if slipping in the market.
The likes of Timely Gift who has wins off 77 and 81 but who needs a bit of rain possibly and Soarlikeaneagle who has some decent place form and a solid each way profile could pick up some each way money at decent prices but there is one who jumps off the page a bit value wise.
KING COOL is Gary Moores 2nd string here and clearly not the force of old. It's last win though was off a mark of 92, it then shot up the handicap and has struggled off higher marks. This is the ideal trip and for once the going looks spot on and off a rapidly declining mark of 83 may just have found a level and a race it can enjoy and be competitive in. At the price I think it justifies an investment.

A similar tale really with 3 dominating the market.
Movethechains is another hot Gary Moore favourite with facile Course wins off 80 and 87, it now gets a mark of 100 but has been very impressive.
Bretney for Henry Daly jumped OK on Chase debut but looks a bit skinny price wise on bare form and third favourite is Hoot At Midnight who has solid place form off marks from 76 to 81 but gets a 4lb penalty for not winning and may again find a few too good.
Barrintara won last time but has had a break and looks more like a summer horse to me .
The value may lie with the mare LILITH for Anthony Honeyball with Rex Dingle riding. A placed run here over 2 and a half miles and form at this trip and the mark of 105 looks competitive in the context of some earlier collateral form. I think this nice type can win a small race off a mark between 100 and 105 and one for the long term notebooks for sure in this Grade.
