THE ADVISOR - Newbury 2.35 Handicap Chase - 2 miles 6 and 1/2 furlongs - Class 4 - 14 run - Good to Soft

 

I think this race can thrown up a host of nice ones to follow in the months ahead.

 

As always here you can't ignore anything HENDERSON sends out so Blairgowrie who returns off a 662 day break should be considered for a win saver at your personal discretion. I am backing against it for value but never discount it hosing up!

 

I think Island Run and KIngs Threshold might just be better horses right handed and whilst fearing Gazette Bourgeoise I do think there are a few less exposed and possibly improvers in here. Off To A Flyer is another to fear but I feel it may be better suited to better more consistent ground in the Spring. Invincible Nao hassome as yet unfulfilled French form from another dangerous Yard. 

 

There are a couple to add to the TRACKER and I've done so with both Dream In The Park who probably just needs a few more runs over Fences and Ballydesmond who has a promising 3 mile P2P profile and who is quickly sent over fences into handicaps.

 

My confidence today though lies very much with ABUFFALOSOLDIER ; a Course winner over 3 miles when Hurdling, looks an interesting prospect and a wind operation looks totally sensible based on recent runs. 

 

For some shrapnel, I really like a couple who ran at Wincanton on Boxing Day who caught my eye then, EARTH KING was noted staying on that day and GAELIC PARK also ran better than the final finishing position suggested. I think that both will be more suited to the long straight here than the tighter confines of Wincanton.
