THE ADVISOR - Newmarket 2.00 Handicap - 1mile 2 furlongs - Class 3 - Heavy - 15 run 

 

A straight 10 furlongs, so a real test of stamina and pace appreciation on strength sapping ground.

 

There are a number of 3 year olds some progressive and some who may find this a race too far.

 

I am happy to take on Mexicali Rose on stamina grounds, Kamanika on the basis that despite impressive wins he is upped in Grade and off a higher mark, Toshizou who is in form but very mixed messages about anything worse that summer type soft ground and Decoration who is one of the 3 year olds who may find this just too tough. 

 

At bigger prices Laafi has struggled to find the right race and flattered so far to deceive and Ectocross has one decent run in heavy but is another 3 year old who has maybe had a race too many.

 

My top pair stodd well clear on analysis and there is one at a big price who I strongly fancy to outrun Odds and make a bold show.

 

CANTORA is a 3 year old but came to hand last Autumn in this type of ground, a Distance winner and this may be again a time for it to strike. FIRST OFFICER is another who did well this time last year, has struggled as a result with an inflated handicap mark but after awin last time remains very well handicapped and the signs are clear in terms of the race conditions today. At bigger odds is WARHOL who has form on Soft and Heavy Going up to 12 furlongs and who looks a very solid e/w proposition to an enhanced place staying on past beated horses.
