THE ADVISOR - Sandown 3.30 Handicap Chase - Class 2 - 3 miles - 14 run - Good to Soft

 

A difficult race for me to fathom and one that could be nicked off the front if Course form runs true to course.

 

So many have stamina and form niggles and with a few progressive types uped in Class I have decided to tread carefully but a couple really stood out in the final analysis.

 

Celebre D'Allen is very progressive but upped considerably in trip and a bit of me thinks they will aim at shorter after this and it's a bit of a  sighter and fitness run on the decent ground the Yard thrives on.  Emir Sacree for Henderson is an enigmatic and basically disappointing type who could fire at some point but I can't seriously think it'll be here. Evas Oskar is in cracking form for a resurgent Yard whose horses are unusually fit and healthy, it has a good chance but I don't think its great value. Movethechains is upped in Class and probably needs further, Flegmatik is VERY well named and one I have a lot of time for and I'm sure it'll come good again at some point. Its probably worth  a small shrapnel bet IF you wanted a third option in the race on price and ability alone but not on current form.

 

Laskalin has been well backed but i don't see as confident value, Bangers And Cash is a worthy favourite and on a hat trick but gets a further 7lbs and like Laskalin I don't really see the value today. Castle Robin was decent in a lower Grade last time, gets a tongue tie and cheekpieces and the support of Pricewise in the Post so any value is gone. Broken Halo runs for Nicholls and would have an each way chance.

 

The pair who really stood out for me though are RAPPER who won for us last time and a horse I've always liked and I think one to follow until he hits a ceiling mark, I don;t think a 6lbs penalty will stop him flying up this hill. The one I think the market has totally overlooked especially on drying ground is LARRY, it's a dab hand like his Trainer around the M25 a Course and Distance winner who although exposed regularly delivers off this mark.

 

TRACKERS - Rapper + Larry
