Southwell 1.30
Southwell 1.30 6 Towering @ 6/1 / 3 Sutters Mill @ 14/1 - both 1/2 point e/w
(Lads / Coral / SkyBet go enhanced place odd to 4th - please use if you can)
This trip may catch out a few who are basically much better at shorter trips and a few who may need the run;"better" being used in the context of the race, as it is very moderate but 3 main Bookies enhance places to 4th, so we will
have a bash. TOWERING has finished 1st/2nd since moving to Connor Dore, Paddy Brennan rides, the anticipated Good
to Soft will suit better than the heavy last time, although up a few more pounds to 108 (last 2 runs off 97 + 104) is still a fair
chunk below what it has run off and with odds to 4th, looks the each way banker. I fear the Skelton horse and would have
been very interested in Suggestion, promising horse, yard in great form but upped in trip concerned by Trainer comments
that he is "a big weak horse", I don't think they will want to bottom him out and this might be a reconnaissance for the Spring?;
the Ben Pauling trained WHIN PARK ran very well here last time until "blowing up" and rates a big danger.
I can't however ignore SUTTERS MILL; I tipped it very confidently last time and it ran a shocker; but previous form was
very good, Trainer/Jockey combo doing very well and this flat left handed track on better ground will suit a lot better, if it
runs as it has, and you ignore that one poor run right handed in mud, it looks too good to ignore value wise at 12-14/1
BOG at those prices, it will need every yard of the trip and will require a strong pace, but with the 2 milers in the race;
should get the ideal scenario to aim at down the straight.
(Back the 2 tips 1/2 point each way and it you fancy a Forecast/Tricast Perm then include the Pauling horse Whin Park)
