Taunton - Tuesday 23rd February

THE ADVISOR - Taunton 12.30 - Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 2 miles 3 furlongs - Heavy  - 17 run

Very few in here make much appeal on likely tack Going.

Zeb The Hero would seem the one to beat, Airton, Candyman Can and Dubheen for Dr Newland are obvious dangers but all have question marks of one kind or another.

Shadows Girl ticks the form, mark and going boxes but the trip is a niggle, Vincenzo Mio hasn't won for 8 years but runs well enough orten enough to not be totally out of it and Away For Slates won a Class 4 at Fontwell in 2019 on heavy and at this trip, but is a very quirky type and can be tricky ride.

If you feel brave, have a small wager on Shadows Girl, but one jumped off the page at me a little bit and that is LINGUINE.

LINGUINE has French form at the trip and on Heavy Going, has had 2 runs and this trip and Going look tailor made for a canny Yard who don't fire many bullets but know the time of day. It looks like one who could benefit and in a poor race is a sporting bet.

TRACKER - Linguine (small interest if you wish in Shadows Girl)

THE ADVISOR - Taunton 3.40 Mares Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 16 run - Heavy

A lot with squeaks in here and near the top of the market Puzzle Cache may not like the Going, Avithos won last time out but never looked like a "sequence horse", and Follow That doesn't appear to be great value on known form.

ARCTIC FOOTPRINT and Always Able hold solid chances, Always Able is solid at the trip and in the going and runs off a decent mark but ARCTIC FOOTPRINT best 2 runs have been just short of this trip in Heavy and Soft at Exeter which is a fair bit tougher and that swings it for me of the pair.

Ask The Lady from Fergal O'Briens yard that did us a big favour at the weekend has bits of 3 mile P2P form that make it of interest, and a pair at bigger prices worth a small investment are KINGSMILL GIN  who is another who has shown best form at this trip in heavy at Exeter and same connections as Linguine in the opener. I also noted the Pipe horse SHOOT TO FAME when it ran too freeley last time as one to note, got 3 mile P2P form, tongue tied and with cheekpieces so they'll be trying to run with more restraint and if doing so the mare clearly has an engine and could outrun her odds.

TIP - ARCTIC FOOTPRINT - Trackers Kingsmill Gin + Arctic Footprint
