Taunton 1.20

Taunton 1.20 4 Cabernet D'Alene (win) @ 4/1  / 14 Midnight Gypsy (each way) @ 20/1

A "hands and heels race" for amateurs, that makes me look at the trip; the going; the ability of the horse;
proven stamina, and an added dynamic, how well the horse travels, as without a whip, you are looking more for "bridle"
horses, who travel well throughout a race. I looked closely at Ladies Dancing; The Kid and Bambi Du Noyer but can't see
them winning today, the obvious one is CABERNET D'ALENE who is on a very solid mark; in form, Course and Distance
performer and just looks like the obvious winner, and a point win at 4/1 looks a sound investment. I have a couple of dangers
who intrigue me but the other selection is MIDNIGHT GYPSY; it won at Hereford almost exactly a year ago, (366 days) at
this trip and right handed; like here. It bowled along at the front that day and is a horse that basically hates the whip and
pressure. The mark is right; the conditions are right and I just feel if it can get a lead it may well be one to love the fact it is
not going to be bullied, just cajoled and the price is too good to ignore. They are the tips and my main dangers at decent
odds would be Purple N Gold (a tricky ride but clear ability) Tempuran (has ability but not 100% about the trip)
