The market makes an unexposed PFN horse Huelgoat the favourite, the Trainers reputation and especially his form here at his local Track exceeds the horses form so far.

 

Flintara based on actual form and Turnaway based on the Yard are big dangers and of the pair Flintara probably has the best form in the race if you wanted an each way banker.

 

Love Actually makes its handicap debut and has some 3 mile P2P form and is one to watch with interest as is Across The Channel who ran a decent race here last time and who is slowly learning for the Hobbs yard. Both can win small races you'd think and worth tracking onwards.

 

Minnie Escape for Victor Dartnell is one of those with more tangible and exposed form, it's a winner at 2 miles off marks of 74-85 and 94 so clearly knows how to win, it been a runner up off a mark of 101 and drops now back to its last win mark, the question is the trip and I just fancied others more proven at the trip but this one rates as big a danger in my eyes as the top 3 in the market.

 

Galactic Power and William Ewart are others with glimmers of form and ones who can win races that I will be tracking after today, it's that kind of race at it'slevel that could throw up some nice solid form.

 

In terms of investing though I'm very keen on KARAKOUM it was 4th last time but won on previous run over Course and Distance very nicely and I feel had a bit in hand. It won off a mark of 83 and runs off 85 here with a good 7lbs claimer on board and honestly has no excuses based on that Course and Distance win.

 

MISS M for David Pipe has won a couple of Maiden Hurdles at 2 miles, and was lumbered as a result with a mark of 117, it's run OK off reducing marks and visually looks like this trip could and should suit and off a mark of 88 with a 7lbs Claim really should now be running off a mark it can win off, I'd be diappointed if it doesn't make a profit of some form for us here. BLACK LIGHTNING is more speculative but it has wins at this kind of trip and a bit further off marks of 82 and 83, it fell when in contention last time and if suffering no mental or physical scars from that does look very well handicapped off a mark of 85 and somewhat overlooked based on actual form, so I'm happy to take a chance.
