The Advisor - Warwick 1.15 and 2.55

 

In the 1.15 West Cork is clearly the one to beat and I will have a win saver bet on him. Of the rest Blue Laureate has the best Flat form but this looks a trip in to the unknown in terms of jumping ability, trip and Going. Of the "Bumper NHFlat brigade" the best options look likely to be Capac and Kalooki but on a tough track like this I always think the proven ability of ex Point 2 Point horses to jump fences in a race situation is a big and still undervalued asset. 

 

So I will have an each way punt to back up the win saver on HOMETOWN BOY who has won a Point 2 pint, had a run, should strip fitter for that run and trip and Going will present few issues.

In the 2.55 there again seems to be a clear and very dangerous favourite in La Cavsa Nostra and again I will take the comfort blanket of a small win saver on the horse to cover my each way bet.

 

Nesterenko will be a danger if race fit and the yard are more forward this year than last, as are many after a wetter Autumn, I do worry about stamina though for Venetias horse here. Bells of Ailsworth and Goodtoknow should both be tracked as may need the run but plenty of races to win with them further down the line and ONEIDA TRIBE is worth a small Tracker bet, as it was a Course and Distance runner up earlier in the year, usually runs well fresh and tends to race prominently and could hang on for a place at big odds.

 

The tip though is BARBROOK STAR who probably needed its seasonal debut run, will be better for it, trip and Going are fine and looks the most secure e/w value in the race.
