Warwick 3.15

THE ADVISOR - Warwick 3.15 - Handicap Chase - Class 2 - 2 miles 4 furlongs - 11 run - Good to Soft (showers)

Another competitive race and as we always point out on a course where the configuration of the fences down the back straight need very accurate jumping.

Celebre D'Allen is a warm favourite for Phillip Hobbs, has been in excellent form over hurdles and does have some Chase experience in France but at the Odds I'd suggest those French fences and the Warwick variety are like chalk and cheese and it's actual jumping ability is going to have a severe test here.

FALCO BLITZ for Henderson actually looks stonking each way value at around 5/1 its won off marks of 132 and 139, is up 3 lbs and managed to win last time running right handed which clearly didn't suit it and on that basis I think we;; worth the 3lbs as it's a horse coming to peak and prime form right now.

Cheddleton for Jennie Candlish has an excellent record of 5 wins and 3 places at 2 miles and the question will be all about stamina here, Dinny Lacey is an Irish raider, never run in the UK before as far as i can see, not sure about the Irish form or the UK mark in the context of this race (and neither is Sean who I tapped up for his thoughts) so I'm comfortable to leave it alone here. Jacamar is a big danger on form but does have a tendency to miss a fence from time to time and that just puts me off but on my form analysis he is the one I fear the most of those not carrying an investment.

Lieutenant Rocco has Course and Distance form, is in our Tracker (Trainer angle) but I think in just a bit too deep here today. Wishing and Hoping has 3 mile form and likes to run prominently and whilst it could always slip the field I think more likely to set it up for something that can kick past it turning in up the short home finish.

In addition to FALCO BLITZ I will also have a bet on OUR POWER who has won off marks of 129 - 130 and 134, is up to a mark of 136 but is still surprisingly only a 7 year old and therefore I think plenty of scope in this very likeable horse for a progressive Yard and in Sheehan few riders in better form right now.

At longer odds I think AMOOLA GOLD can nick an enhanced place. It has good 2 miles form and runs off a lofty 150 as a result but it hasn't really much scope at 2 miles off that mark and interestingly it did start its career at 2 and a half miles and has enough proven stamina at that trip to suggest it can get this and if it can lay up handy clearly has something of a finishing kick so at the price certainly has the class and form to have a nibble.

TIP - FALCO BLITZ - Tracker - Our Power - shrapnel - Amoola Gold
