CATTERICK 1.50 The obvious one here on Course and Distance form is STRAIDNAHANNAH, several times a winner for us and one I'm sure we will return to later in the season. Its form first time out though is not great, this trip is probably on the short side and although you can see it being prominent for a very long way, I just don't fancy it with confidence today. The remainder are mostly summer jumping types who are trying to eek out something on this unusually dry ground and a few who have decent for at shorter trips but not yet proven over anything like this 26 furlongs.

At the bottom of the market though BALLYCRYSTAL may be overpriced, has had 2 runs so no fitness issues, step up in trip could suit more than most based on 3 mile Point 2 Point form, the further it has gone the better the form so far and the step up in trip now race fit should see a decent run for our money and having won convincingly last season off a mark of 130, the 125 it runs off today, may just be a crafty bit of placing by a canny Trainer.
