At the top of the market is Clare Court, on a 5 timer, upped 22lbs and upped in trip and as a betting medium not of interest to me today. Clonmeen and Harveys Quay are next in the early market and although bot have decent form don't jump out as being obvious winners of this nor great market value. Reddys Island is a typical Elliott improver but I really in the final analysis fancied 2 more strongly on form and if you want a small "Elliott saver" then feel free.Avec Espoir is the other who will be a danger on some form lines and not lightly discounted.

 

I'm very keen on ARCHIES CHARM, runner up in this race last year, ran well after that and has had a prep run for this and looks very well handicap off a mark of 120 with a 3lbs claim on several pieces of form. De Bromheads saddles GATEAU DE MIEL and Rachel Blackmore rides,it's become frustrating of late but showed real promise initially and they add a tongue tie and cheekpieces. I'm intrigued in a way that Rachel rides, some of the better runs have been with her in the saddle and rather than use another pilot it suggests genuine hope that they think the potential is still there as much as the desire to untap it.

 

Finally, at bigger odds , History of Fashion is a Course and Distance winner off a mark of 119 who has also become frustrating and also gets some aids (Cheekpieces) and would be very well handicapped on a couple of runs last Spring.
