Dundalk 6.45

MICHAEL - Dundalk 6.45 Handicap - 1 mile 2 and 1/2 furlongs - 14 run - Standard

The more I looked at this race the more I felt a lot of possible market value at the big priced end in what is a tight and competitive race.

At this level you can get horses who build up small sequences but have to develop a feel for when the winning run has ended, either by end of a spurt of form or by the handicapper and with the Mares just their seasonal fluctuations.

For that reason and logic i am happy to take on Fairytale Princess (handicapper), Final Check (price value), Satono Chevalier (likely need the run), Limestone Red (upped in class and penalised) and Storm Eric and Walhaan (may have run bets races for now).

I'm really keen on YOKKELL, an eyecatcher over Course and Distance who was denied a clear run last time and who is very interesting off a mark of 72 for the McConnell yard. CU CHULAINN needed a recent run, actually won a race over this trip at Lingfield under previous connections and with that being off a UK mark of 76, tonights 71 with a good 5 lb Claimer really caught my eye!

At bigger shrapnel Odds, I will be disappointed if GARRICK PAINTER isn't in the first 6 home outrunning odds. The trip should be ideal now based on a couple of pieces of solid evidence and a mark of 71 looks competitive. At the biggest price in early markets is Tony Martins MY KURKUM. The booking of Seanie Heffernan alone is worth a small investment but look back to a French run over 10 furlongs at Deauville as it suggests 10 furlong plus a bit might be the making of the horse! Get an early price as if the money comes it could flood in!
