MICHAEL - Exeter 2.00 Class 4 Handicap Chase 3 miles and 54 yards Class 4

 

For various reasons I'm not totally convinced by the head of the market in this race if the Going is anything softer than forecast and with rain about.

 

Of those WESTERN CLIMATE is of most interest but a string of P/U and a fall last time tempers enthusiasm and I think it's one to "back in running" if in contention turning in up the hill final time at any kind of in running price.

 

In terms of serious tips and trackers, In Arrears and Blazing Tom both have enough promising 3 mile P2P form to think that they can fire in this sphere and pick up races and both are generously priced and better runs would not surprise.

 

The tip though is ITSAMANSLIFE who was runner up on seasonal debut, is solid and on a nice mark and a decent enough each way price in this competitive heat. For the Tracker, at the odds it would be folly to ignore any horse with the place running history of BIG TIME FRANK, 6 successive runner up runs and went up the handicap for them. Nothing ungenuine I don't think about the horse but it's a different ball game backing him to win or place at short Odds and being disappointed with a place than backing him to run a big each way race at big Odds....folly not to have a bash on that basis!
