Fairyhouse 3.58
MICHAEL - Fairyhouse 3.58 Handicap Hurdle - 3 miles - 16 run - Soft / Hvy
There are three pretty strong ones at the top of the market so I will suggest to those that like a little cover bet that may be a small reverse forecast on Tor March and Lackfield Lustre may be a sensible small side bet. Both have had runs and I just therefore prefer them to Mahler Appeal who has the more impressive form but who may just need the run. Those three will be tough to crack but there is some place value to enhanced places; that I have confidence in to place and possibly win the race.
I don't think Reserve Judgement off top weight is ideally suited by this Course or the Going and it's a tough mark too. Duffys Getaway is feared and will be winning races later on in the season but may just need the run. Heart of Rome is another promising type but the soft to heavy Going may not be ideal for this one today.
The pair I most fancy are WILL IT BE YOU who could be deemed unlucky when hampered last time and who had run very well the race before that, it's got a solid chance provided the Going doesn't get too deep, the course drains well and a dry day is forecast. OCEAN LEGACY is race fit which will be an advantage and has placed Course form over fences at 3 miles here, it's one of the more likely at a price and often competitive off a Chase and Hurdle mark around 80.
IF you want some shrapnel / £1 e/w a couple at BIG odds definitely catch the eye, COURTING VICKIE is well worth a shrapnel e/w bet to enhanced 5th place, a solid and dependable horse who generally runs its race, it's definitely better over slightly shorter trips but can get this distance if ridden sensibly in the early stages and the longer they go round at a slower pace the more the chance grows, If you want £1 e/w on DRIMSREE LAD at 40/1 I would point to the fact that although a Maiden at 12 years of age, it did run very well in this race last year at odds of 125/1 and may just be primed for a similar effort.
